Vecchia Torre is a Salento winery with half a century of history.
Leverano Rosso di Vecchia Torre is a wine that creates joviality and, at the same time, is a perfect synthesis of beauty and liveliness, typical qualities of Salento.
The wine takes its name from the Lecce municipality of medieval origin, Leverano, in fact, a reference area for the production of quality wines throughout Puglia.
Vecchia Torre makes Leverano Rosso by mixing the quality of Negroamaro grapes with the softness of Malvasia Nera. This blend gives persistence to the colors and aromas of the wine.
The vines, among the most representative of the autochthonous qualities of Salento, feed on the richness of an alluvial soil with limestone deposits and enjoy the sunny and windy climate typical of the Ionian coast of Salento.
The red leverano is vinified leaving the skins to macerate with the must and arrives on the table after a refinement conducted in steel. Ideal for an aging of 2/3 or more years, this wine, the result of juicy dark and fragrant berries, stands out for its balanced, enveloping and velvety structure.
